Candlestick Foundations
Understand what each candle body and wick tells you about buyer and seller pressure before moving on to multi-bar chart patterns.
Who should attend
Anyone new to candlestick charts or returning after a long break. If you cannot explain the difference between a doji and a spinning top, this session gives you the vocabulary and visual memory to progress to our full-day pattern workshop.
Session content
The morning covers single-candle formations: doji, hammer, hanging man, shooting star, marubozu, and spinning top. The afternoon introduces two- and three-candle combinations: bullish and bearish engulfing, harami, piercing line, dark cloud cover, morning star, and evening star.
All examples use daily timeframe charts of Vietnamese equities and the VN-Index. You practise identifying each formation on printed sheets and receive immediate correction from the instructor.
Included materials
- Laminated candlestick quick-reference card
- Exercise packet with 25 marked and unmarked charts
- Light refreshments during the break
Schedule
